Hi @MissGremlin you have been in my thoughts today, hoping that today was a bit better than yesterday. I can see this is a really hard time for you at the moment and I'm really sorry that you're feeling this way right now. I just wish I could take all your pain away 🤗 I am always here if you need to talk ❤️

Re: ~ The Toolshed ~

@heartathome hey hun, I'm sorry to hear things are so difficult for you and your son at the moment. It can be such a fine line between supporting and enabling. I think putting yourself first and honouring your own need for protection is definitely a wise path. For many carers and loved ones of people struggling with addiction, sitting in that uncertainty is soooo hard.

But I reckon it's like @REDLINEZ750 said about folks who aren't ready to help themselves yet. That old 'you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink' idiom seems apt here - but I also wanna acknowledge the anxiety that comes with having to wait for your loved one to realise how thirsty they are. It's so hard, especially the waiting and the not-knowing. We are here for you!

Oh and also there's a fab support organisation called Family Drug Support - they have a 24/7 support line too 😊

@Mustang67 all the best with your surgery friend! Are you nervous?

Also lovely to see you around again! What paranormal shows/movies you been getting into?

Also ty for sharing about your recovery process 6 years on. To me it speaks to that nonlinear nature of it - like some years I will make enormous progress, then stagnate for the next two. It can be frustrating, but I do also see that you're reflecting on what has changed, which is so important!

@DownMoreThanUp great affirmations!! Our minds are tools that we can hone, this is a great way to practice!

@Cuddlebear the tapering nightmare continues eh? Aww hun! Sending a bajillion hugs!

⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

Aww @PeppyPatti you are a blessing on this earth! This:

I’m allowed just to be maternal

Sew quilts

That’s enough. That’s everything

...is so beautiful. And I agree. The little things became more and more meaningful to me as I have progressed in my recovery. Good food, belly laughs, and a safe place to be cosy 😊

@MissGremlin thank you for always bringing the healing and comforting vibes to this space. It really makes me so happy 😋

And did I read you have a toothache? 🥺

@Glisten - "To know that we, despite everything life throws at us, are here for each other and that is the most powerful energy imaginable" - yes yes yes to all of this!! I always love being witness to our amazing members supporting one another. SO WHOLESOME!

 @Bunniekins @ENKELI @Appleblossom hello friends!!

Sending love to all! 💜
