Re: BPD Awareness Week 1-7 Oct 2025 1:10 Uniting for Change

Thank you for sharing your journeys @Ainjoule @Till23 @balance37 @Eden1919 ,

It sounds all the more why it's so important that services should be Uniting for change.

I had so many hospital admissions and I met all the criteria for BPD, so I can see why I got the label.

I have also been faced with the stigma of BPD and the challenges that come with it.

I'm sorry felt belittled @Ainjoule . My heart goes out to you.

For me PARC was a lot more effective than hospital.

I have a psychiatrist appointment in December. Maybe I will bring up the BPD diagnosis then and see whether or not they can take it off my file. I really don't agree with it.

My Diagnosis is:

Schizophrenia, Seasonal Affective Disorder, CPTSD with Dissociative Features

Differential Dignoses:

OCD, ASD, Other Specified Dissociative Disorder/DID

I am confident that if I was female, at some point in my over 20 years in the system, I would have copped this diagnosis. Or the ICD11 equivalent (Personality Disorder. (Full stop))

Interesting to note in the ICD11 listing for CPTSD the difference ICD11 CPTSD Listing
