I've had to do some breathing exercises to calm agitation in the middle of the supermarket @Adge. I pretend I'm looking intently at something .... Really intently.

Pain has come up a few times here - it's wonderful to see that mindfulness can help. Isn't it funny how by changing our focus or re-channeling your energy to a different, present moment, it can help us cope.
In saying that - make sure you always consult your doctor if there is too much pain or the pain is severe and concerning (both mental and physical!)

Still @Shaz51, the idea is there, and it came from him. he might just need time to make the method his own too, in order to 'own' it and do it. and he might do it where you can't see him, I don't know. The promise is there though....
edited to say what I meant not what i typed.

Hi @BlueBay,
It sounds like you are having a hard time at the moment, it is okay if you need to take time away from this thread. You have already contributed greatly and gotten some good conversations happening so we are all grateful that you came along!

@BlueBay It's okay to just sit and watch the posts go by too. Refreshing the page keeps it up to date, it's tricky. Thank you for being here.

@Shaz51 maybe it will be baby steps for him! But like @Former-Member said, being interested is a good start! Do you ever do some mindfulness? Maybe you could try a mindful activity together (quietly and focused of course!) to get him into the swing of things.
