Re: Self Help Books

My favourite books are:

Children of the Self-Absorbed

Mans search for Meaning

When quietness came: A Neuroscientists personal journey with schizophrenia

These last two were textbooks from uni - I like knowning a bit of the science behind it all.

Psychiatry: An illustrated colour text

Fish's Clinical Psychopathology

Fish's really helped me feel less alone, that my symptoms were common enough to be in a textbook and when quietness came gave me a personal story I could relate to.

Re: Self Help Books

Couple to add to the already great list:

K Neff - Self compassion
CK Germer - The mindful way to self compassion
B Rothschild - 8 keys to safe trauma recovery
J Miklowitz - The bipolar survival guide
SC Hayes - Get out of your mind and into your life

Good reads, very deep, take your time to process what you read.
