Re: My Mosaic

Nah @rav3n dropped d at school and came home and crawled into bed again. Kinda feel like I’m frozen.

Re: My Mosaic

that's okay @Bow there's nothing wrong with crawling back into bed, your body is doing what it needs to feel safe. please continue to be gentle with yourself 💗

do you want to try 'unfreeze' right now? or do you reckon you need some rest?

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow there's a couple different ways - i know that different ones work for different people, so maybe we can try some out?

there's this video (Are You Stuck in Freeze Mode? How to Turn off the Freeze Response) where they explain how moving our physical body is the first step to leaving the 'freeze' mode. when we experience trauma, our body can go into 'freeze' mode when it's overwhelmed, and it's our body feeling powerless. moving around can help reframe that (almost like moving = gaining back power).

so maybe we can work through some gentle movements to bring focus to our surroundings. before we jump into some movements, did you want to look into the 5 senses so we can bring your focus out of the body?

absolutely okay if you're not up for it, let me know what works for you.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow, I am here too if you want to chat. It's lovely seeing @rav3n support you so wonderfully. 🥰 Feeling frozen is a tricky state to shift out of, but I think sometimes doing something really small for yourself can help heaps. Anything come to mind?

Got up and grabbed a drink @rav3n  that has helped a little.
