@NatureLover D's surgery is next Friday. Just a day procedure will be home that night.

So after D's surgery you have a stretch of time with no pressing commitments, @Snowie ?

I find I'm not great by the evenings either. Maybe it's because we are using so much energy just getting through the days.

Yes, you're right. I know just surviving takes everything we have. 🫂

I have noticed that people are more in crisis here on the forums in the evenings. Maybe it's because the helplines shut down at night, as well?

I hope today is a better day for you dear @Snowie 💙

Re: My special place

Good morning @creative_writer wishing you a good day today.

@NatureLover I have a few days free to look after D. Hopefully it goes smoothly and she isn't in too much pain. Will stock up on soft food the day before.

It could be because of the helplines too. I think it is probably a combination of things. I have noticed people are more is crisis in the evenings too. I'm glad at least they have a place to come and get help.

Anyway, how are you going?

Re: My special place

Morning @Snowie I hope D isn't in too much pain, I remember being on a soft food diet, my jaw was swollen.

I feel like evenings are rough for people for a number of reasons, I feel like mornings is probably when my MH is the best. I personally take meds morning and just before bed, I actually wonder whether if it is also my meds wearing off

Re: My special place

@creative_writer she is getting all 4 out at the same time so at least she only has to go through the pain once. They said she will get fairly strong pain relief.

I agree that mornings are normally better. It could be because of when we take our meds too. I take them in the morning and just before I go to bed too. I can't remember the last time I didn't take some prn during the day just to help me get through it.

Re: My special place

Good morning @Snowie @creative_writer

How're you both today? ❤️

Re: My special place

Afternoon @lavenderhaze

I am ok. Just using today to get a few things done whilst I have the energy. The last few days have been a bit better so taking that as a win.

How are you today?

Re: My special place

@Snowie I had mine taken one at a time. It was a painful process, but I am glad I got them out before they caused problems. My cousin experienced pain from hers, she said they taught her wisdom that they are best taken out before they causes problems.

Maybe it is medication, I don't really know. I am also caffeinated during the day. Caffeine can help migraine suffers but can also be a trigger. Migraines are more likely to be worse at the end of the day, and mood goes shit from there.

Hi @lavenderhaze how are you doing? I am okay, a bit distracted now, but got some work done. I probably need a lunch break soon

Re: My special place

Oh @Snowie, that's good to know - I am glad the last few days have been better for you ❤️

What do comparatively high-energy days look like for you?

I hear ya, by this time, I feel a bit sleepy/distracted. I need food, haha. What's for lunch @creative_writer?

I am doing okay, thank you 🙂 The last couple of weeks have been busy, so I have not had a chance to really have a rest day.

Re: My special place

One at a time must have been hard @creative_writer Going through that pain 4 times over.

I find I have a lot of caffeine during the day too. Maybe thats what helps me get through the day!

High energy days just mean I get more things done @lavenderhaze. I can keep up with the housework, washing, leaving the house, food shopping. Normal things for others I guess, but for me they feel more like achievements. I think we need to take those days and be thankful for them. Sometimes the smallest things are wins.

Re: My special place

I can relate to that @Snowie

I struggle with basic things like cooking, shopping, etc, because of fatigue and low energy, so everything you mentioned is definitely an achievement for me. These tasks so much physical and mental energy, I think sometimes people forget that.

We should be thankful for these days for sure ❤️

What are you having for lunch>
