Re: General chat

Would be nice if dealing with banks was a straight forward, easy process.  Sorry to hear things are not going that way for you currently @Dimity

About 3mths ago I started trying to rebuild relationship with 2 specific relatives.  Hoped for mutually built bridges.  Conversations sounded promising.  Last comment came from them both.  Comments that turned out to not be true.   Left me feeling hurt and angry.  2 relatives who, due to their decisions, I no longer have anything to do with.

for peace of mind and stress levels, I think at times it’s not worth putting effort into people who don’t want to reciprocate.  My POAs and next of kin, I hear from them twice a year (if I’m lucky).  One of those unpleasant things that happens at times as people get older

Re: General chat

Must have been distressing for you with relatives @Patches59 . I'm cut off too.

Re: General chat

Not really @Dimity   They made their decision to ghost me.  My decision has been to block them.

as my therapist has said …. sometimes for one’s own MH and peace of mind need to set boundaries which involves not having certain people in one’s life, regardless of their connection.

Re: General chat

hey @Dimity @Patches59 i'm heading off soon but i wanted to pop in and say hi!! how are you both going?

Re: General chat

Hi @rav3n

Last couple days been doona days due to upset stomach and focusing on my MH. I’m going good apart from that.

still processing things that have happened on the forums.

thanks for asking, much appreciated.

how are you @rav3n ?

Re: General chat

Hi @rav3n nice to see you. I've been out and haven't caught up today yet.

I've run out of puff. I'm safe though. Taking things quietly at present.

Hope you're OK @Patches59 .

Re: General chat

Hi @Patches59 our posts crossed.

Hope the cats have kept you company on the doona and you're feeling better.

Re: General chat

@Patches59 oh nooo upset stomachs sounds rough, hope you take it easy and feel better soon!! i'm doing alright thanks. i've been getting ready for my interstate trip, trying not to procrastinate my packing!

have you been working on any lego/crafts? or given them a lil break for now?

@Dimity no stress, and glad to know you're safe. hope you get to rest up and recharge too!! have you got a lot going on this week?

Re: General chat

I’m still doing the bears @rav3n just not as quickly as I have been.  Typical for me (something I’ve done for decades and I’m used to), I’ve lost interest in doing the brick bear and have started knitting.

as part of decluttering the garage I need to either get rid of lot of balls of 8ply or knit it into things.  Have started knitting a large square cushion cover.  Hoping it will fit onto European pillow I use behind my back

All the best for the trip. I know that feeling of procrastinating about packing.  My most recent move I was still packing on morning of settlement

Re: General chat

@Dimity   I’ve got lots of things on my mind that, as rav3n is aware, has brought me to weigh up pros and cons of leaving the forums and SANE.   Feeling unwanted, unseen and unheard have left, as Jynx says, big emotions that I’m trying to process and deal with.

sending this to moderators is not required, they are already aware
