Re: Good Morning

Hi @Judi9877
 that's a lot to get ready for- PARCS - It's hard to switch off when someone needs you. I'm so there - I'm sitting with you.

@Appleblossom

– love reading about your creativity. Fingers crossed for good internet! A little entertainment is important. I think you actually inspire me to do my quilting and embroidery ......

Think of PARCS for your own well-being.

 do you think they are asking you to hit a re set ?

Good luck, and we'll miss you here like what @Glisten @tyme and @Gremlin24 @TAB  write...

@PeppyPatti I never know if I am nerdy or arty. Maybe I am a little bit of both…lol

There was a beautiful sunset this evening… full round sun sitting on the horizon

Re: Good Morning

Good evening @PeppyPatti @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @tyme @greenpea @TAB @Gremlin24 @Glisten @Shaz51 and all forumites here tonight. I hope your Sunday has gone well for you. Thank you to everyone for all the kind and supportive comments regarding my upcoming PARCS admission tomorrow- very much appreciated ☺️!

Today was an interesting day in that I was woken up by my mental health worker calling me to see if I was ready for my PARCS admission tomorrow and to find out how I was getting to the facility- a V/Line train as it’s cheap (about $6) and a taxi with me calling the facility to pick me up at the station as discussed in the meeting last Monday afternoon. I had a bad night sleep to the point where I told my worker I’m thinking of adjusting 1 of my meds as I don’t like what they do to me and my sleeping situation which she wasn’t impressed with and tried to tell me that I had to wait for the 2 weeks to discuss it with the area psychiatrist when I finished with my PARCS admission. I let that comment go as I’ll judge things as they happen when I get to PARCS tomorrow and go from there. After finishing with her, I worked on finishing a beanie before watching the Supercars on TV until the power went out for nearly 2 hours in our region (I forgot to charge my phone and stressed out with my phone only on 60% battery charge). In the midst of this, my housemate had organised a Woolies order to be delivered and she also had limited battery on her phone so we were stressing to see if it would come- it did luckily. I then chilled out by knitting a baby beanie and watching the news and MAFS before attempting to repack my suitcase - a major challenge in itself with me having to decide what things to pack to keep me busy for 2 weeks such as craft things and books- to finally be happy with the end result. I’m lucky that there’s a Spotlight in the town where the PARCS is at so I can always go there if I’m desperate for craft items as PARCS isn’t a hospital - it’s a step up/step down mental health prevention and recovery facility with me going there to work on preventing me from being admitted to hospital. I’m planning on trying get help with my sleep issues and look at different coping strategies to help me deal with the stress of having a sick housemate and to get in some respite and relaxation as well so I can deal with my life in a better perspective and outlook. I’m planning on working on my cross stitching that I’ve just rediscovered again and trying to get back into reading books for pleasure instead of spending time on my phone which has also caused me issues over recent times. In addition to this, I’m hoping to continue having contact with an old family friend and speaking to him in more detail after he contacted me last weekend for a long overdue catch up which has been hard with my housemate requiring my attention at the moment. Hopefully watching the start of the AFL and NRL seasons is also something I want to do with my Brisbane Lions playing the Geelong Cats in the first round.

Time to go and chill. Have a great night!

Take care and stay safe!
