Re: Tabaluga's

@Meowmy hey Meowmy, do you ever have moments where you think you've posted on the forums and then don't see it, only to realise you never posted? Lol, I had a ditzy moment!

I have been meaning to say I hope your chest pains are nothing serious and have sent a prayer up for you. So glad to hear you woke pain free 🍵❤️

Re: Tabaluga's

@PeppyPatti this country really is going to the dogs, and I vehemently oppose dog racing. Money spent in stupid ways when education, housing and health are suffering.

Case in point - (sorry, you can run away now if you need to, I'm setting up my bandwagon!!)

I spent 6 hours at the ED of my local hospital a few weeks back because my back pain was so bad.

It was a Sunday so a GP was unavailable.

The options I had were - The Medicare clinic which will not dispense any medications containing opiods or anti anxiety medications. I needed the opiods to reduce the pain so Medicare clinic out.

SJOG Urgent Care clinic - they dispense these medications however to see someone you have to pay between $200 - $300 up front. I didn't have $50 much less $300.

ED at the hospital. This was my only choice so I waited 6 hours and tied up resources that could have been used on "real" cases that needed urgent attention.

Why are the Medicare clinics not able to dispense these medications?
I know why SJOG Urgent Care is so expensive, it's private.

Our government in action. I asked one former member what they specifically had done for my region and they came back with what the state government had done. I said "yes, but what have YOU specifically done?" Said MP snorted and stalked off.
